Leading
gas conditioning products manufacturer Perma Pure LLC
introduces the FC™-Series o f
fuel cell humidifiers. The compact, efficient units offer
water management that is critical to the operation of Proton
Exchange Membrane (PEM) fuel cells in a range of sizes
suitable to virtually any application.
In PEM
fuel cells, where the incoming gas must be humid, FC-Series
humidifiers provide durable, self-contained humidification
for stationary power, portable power and transport
applications. The humidifiers recover water from the fuel
cell exhaust and transfer it into the incoming gases by
permeation through the walls of Nafion® tubing, a
proprietary technology available only from Perma Pure under
license from the polymer manufacturer, DuPont.
The units
have no moving parts and require no power, thereby
eliminating the parts failure, leaks and parasitic power
consumption associated with alternative humidifiers.
Selective permeation ensures that there is no crossover
contamination between the exhaust and incoming gases.
FC-Series humidifiers are self-limiting and require no
controls. The lightweight devices are available in a range
of models which may be used alone or in parallel to
accommodate any application size. In addition to moisture
exchange, Perma Pure’s humidifiers simultaneously function
as heat exchangers, recovering waste heat as well as water
from the exhaust.
Perma Pure
LLC, a member of the world-wide Halma Group, manufactures
gas conditioning products such as dryers, humidifiers,
filters, coalescers, specialty scrubbers and complete
sampling systems for use in medical, industrial and
scientific applications. The company’s dryers and
humidifiers incorporate proprietary technology based on the
unique properties of the Nafion® polymer. The company is
the sole manufacturer of Nafion tubing under license from
the polymer manufacturer, DuPont. The company is based in
