HD™-Series
heatless dryers from
Perma Pure® are
regenerative,
compact compressed
air dryers. Unlike
similar heatless
dryers, they provide
a continuous, steady
flow of dry air
without pressure
pulses, and
periodical
replacement of the
desiccant is
unnecessary. Very
ruggedly
constructed, they
operate for years
without maintenance
or repairs.
HD™-Series heatless
dryers are ideal for
low flow air drying
operations.
Operation is fully
automatic, and
outlet dew points as
low as -50°C can be
achieved. They
consist of two
chambers filled with
a highly absorbent
desiccant. One
chamber dries the
gas stream while the
opposite chamber is
regenerated.
No momentary drops
in pressure occur as
the gas flow is
switched. The valve
on the regenerating
chamber is closed
shortly before
switchover. This
enables it to
recover to full
pressure before
use. In addition,
the desiccant is
protected from
damage caused by the
alternating air
flow. It is very
tightly packed and
compressed so that
it cannot move and
break down. This
normally ensures at
least ten years
between fillings.
There are two models
available. The 18cm
model is best for
flows under 60
litres per minute.
The 30cm version is
recommended for
flows of up to 90
litres per minute.
The 30cm model is
also recommended for
applications
requiring dew points
below 40°C. The
standard desiccant
is molecular sieve
4A and others can be
supplied upon
request.
HD™-Series heatless
dryers
are manufactured
exclusively by Perma
Pure LLC, a member
of
the Halma Group.
