The MD-700 can be mounted in any position, but depending on the size of the aerosols and particles being measured, it might be best to use the dryer in the vertical position. If an application has the dryer used in the horizontal position, this could increase the amount of particles being lost due to gravity if the particles are large enough to be so affected. The same would be true if you were using other MD and PD dryers for particulate measurements.
